SH Volleyball Season Opener

The Lady Warriors volleyball teams started their 2010 season. The JV team dropped their first game, but battled back in the secong game by winning in extra play 26-24 before taking the match 15-12 in the third game.

The varsity squad dropped their season opening match in three straight games, but played hard and showed good sign of progress and hope. The varsity squad has a lot of youth, with 5 of the top 7 underclassmen. Their potential and progress did not go unnoticed, as the opposing coach commented to coach Bendo after the match that he was impressed with their play.

SH Soccer Season Opener

The Boys Varsity soccer team began their season on a positive note, traveling to Lehigh and coming home with a 4-0 shut out. The Warriors started slow, as the week at camp seemed to affect their energy in the first half. They had two really good scoring opportunities but were unable to finish.

The second half was a different story, as they took charge shortly into play with Travis Clemens scoring the first goal of the season. David Hunsberger added two before Jeff Seelig closed out the scoring in the final minutes of the game.

The defense for the Warriors was solid, with keeper Nathan Bergey only facing a few scoring chances, as Jaron Kicinski, Josh Finkbeiner, and Scott Seelig kept the ball out of harms way.

League Tournament

We are excited about the return of our league tournament this year. The senior high volleyball tournament will be held the week of October 19 - 23. All matches will be held at High Point Baptist Academy. The first round of the tournament will be held on Tuesday night (10/19). The #1 seed (who has a bye on Tuesday night) and the three winners from Tuesday will move on to the semifinals on Friday 10/22. Consolation and Championship matches will be held on Saturday 10/23.

League Tournament

The first round of the tournament will be held on Monday night (10/18) at the home field of the higher field. The #1 seed (who has a bye on Monday night) and the three winners from Monday will move on to the semifinals on Friday 10/22 at High Point. Consolation and Championship games will be held at High Point on Saturday 10/23.

ACCAC League Tournaments

This year, we welcome the return of our conference championship tournaments for Senior High sports. The Soccer and Volleyball Tournaments will be held this year at High Point Baptist Academy the week of 10/18 through 10/23. Please mark your calendars accordingly, and plan on coming out to support your teams as they battle to claim the league championships.
